About This Package

The Spiti Valley expedition is India's ultimate off-road adventure — a journey into a high-altitude cold desert that feels like a different planet. Flanked by barren moonscapes, ancient Buddhist monasteries perched impossibly on clifftops, and glacial rivers of turquoise, Spiti is North India's best-kept secret. Your experienced driver will handle the rough mountain tracks so you can simply absorb the raw, untouched beauty.

Accessible from Shimla (via Kinnaur, open most of the year) or Manali (via Rohtang Pass, open June–October), our drivers know both routes intimately. We recommend the Manali–Spiti–Shimla circuit for the complete experience, driving one route up and the other down.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time to visit Spiti Valley?
June to September is the best window when both Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass are open. For the Shimla–Kinnaur route (which avoids Rohtang), travel is possible from April to November. Winter (October–May) via Manali is not recommended due to heavy snowfall and road closures.
Is Spiti safe for first-time mountain travellers?
Yes, with an experienced driver and a capable vehicle. Our drivers have done this route multiple times and know the safe driving protocols for high altitude, narrow roads, and river crossings. We also recommend acclimatisation stops to avoid altitude sickness.
Is the price per person or per car?
All our prices are per car, not per person. Whether you're 2 or 6 people in the car, the price remains the same — making it extremely economical for groups and families travelling together.
Is there mobile network connectivity in Spiti?
Mobile connectivity is limited and mostly available only in Kaza (BSNL works best). Most of Spiti is off the grid — which is part of the charm. We recommend downloading offline maps before the trip. Our drivers carry satellite communication for emergencies.
Can we customize the Spiti itinerary?
Absolutely. You can add Langza village (fossils and Buddha statue), Komic village, Hikkim (world's highest post office), or Losar. You can also extend the trip towards Leh. Just let us know while booking and we'll plan accordingly.
